How to Use the Assignment Submission Checklist

1Add each subject

Enter the institution, course code, subject, session and verified deadline.

2Complete the checks

Tick the eight checks from downloading the correct questions to saving the receipt.

3Keep proof safely

Retain the acknowledgement, email, screenshot or stamped receipt required by your institution.

Create a separate card for every course code instead of treating the entire semester as one assignment. This makes missing work easier to notice and gives you a clearer subject-wise record.

What the Eight Checks Mean

Correct questions

Download the assignment meant for your exact course code, programme and applicable session.

Session verified

Check the validity period and avoid using a question set from an older academic cycle.

Work completed

Finish every required response, activity, practical or project component.

Identity details

Recheck the cover page, name, enrolment details, programme and course code as applicable.

Pages prepared

Arrange page order and check readability before scanning or physical submission.

Method rechecked

Confirm the permitted file format, size, naming rule, portal or physical centre.

Submitted

Tick only after the online upload finishes or the centre accepts the physical copy.

Receipt saved

Keep evidence until the assignment status and marks are correctly reflected.

Important Checks Before Submission

  • Use the assignment question paper applicable to your programme, course code and session.
  • Confirm the deadline and submission method through the official portal, Regional Centre, study centre or current notice.
  • Do not assume that an online form, email address or centre used by another student also applies to you.
  • Open the final file once before uploading and check that every page is readable and correctly oriented.
  • After online submission, wait for the success message and save the acknowledgement instead of closing the page immediately.
  • For physical submission, ask for a signed or stamped receipt whenever the centre provides one.

The tool intentionally does not publish one universal deadline or submission method. IGNOU Regional Centres, DU SOL instructions, NIOS study centres and individual programmes may follow different procedures, and official directions can change.

Privacy and Browser Storage

The information entered here is stored through local browser storage on the device being used. It is not submitted through this checklist form to OpenStudyInfo. This means the tool works without a compulsory login, but you should remember:

  • your checklist does not automatically synchronise between phone and laptop;
  • private or incognito browsing may remove the entries when the session closes;
  • clearing cookies or site data can delete saved checklists; and
  • printing or saving a separate copy is useful if the checklist is important.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Assignment Submission Checklist free?

Yes. The checklist is free to use and does not require an account or compulsory registration.

Can I use the checklist for IGNOU, DU SOL and NIOS?

Yes. You can create separate subject cards for IGNOU, DU SOL, NIOS or another institution. Always follow the submission rules issued by the relevant institution or centre.

Does this tool submit my assignment?

No. This is only an organiser. It does not upload a file, send an email, submit a physical assignment or confirm that an institution has accepted your work.

Where is my checklist saved?

The entries are saved in the local storage of the browser and device being used. They are not submitted through the checklist form to OpenStudyInfo.

Why did my saved checklist disappear?

Entries may be removed after clearing browser or site data, resetting the browser or using private mode. Saved information also does not automatically move to another device.

What does “Ready to submit” mean?

It means the six preparation checks are complete but the assignment has not yet been marked as submitted. It does not confirm that the file or physical copy meets official requirements.

Should I keep an assignment acknowledgement?

Yes. Keep the available acknowledgement, email, screenshot or stamped receipt until the submission status and marks are correctly updated.

Important: OpenStudyInfo is an independent student-information website. This checklist is a personal organiser and does not replace an official assignment question paper, submission notice, portal, centre instruction or acknowledgement.
