How can I find my IGNOU study centre?

Check your admission confirmation, IGNOU student ID card or student login, which usually show the Regional Centre and Study Centre linked to your enrolment. If the details are missing or unclear, contact your Regional Centre with your enrolment number and programme code.

What is the difference between an IGNOU regional centre and study centre?

A Regional Centre is the administrative office for a geographical area and supervises learner support there. A Study Centre, also called a Learner Support Centre, is a local location where learners may attend counselling or receive academic support, depending on the programme and current arrangements.

Can I visit any IGNOU study centre?

Not for every purpose. Services such as counselling, practicals and assignment handling are usually linked to the centre recorded for your programme. Ask your own Regional Centre before going to a different centre, and confirm that the centre offers the service you need.

Is IGNOU study centre the same as exam centre?

No. The exam centre is the venue allotted for the term-end examination and is confirmed on your hall ticket. The same institution may sometimes act as both, but you should never assume it.

How do I verify an IGNOU centre address?

Open the official Regional Centre website or the Regional Centres page on ignou.ac.in, then call or email the centre before travelling. Avoid addresses copied from old posts or forwarded messages.

How can I check the centre allotted to me?

Look at your admission confirmation, student ID card and student account first. Some Regional Centres also offer an online Study Centre status check by enrolment number. If the details are still unclear, write to your Regional Centre.

What should I do if my IGNOU study centre details are outdated?

Check the latest notice on your Regional Centre website, because centres can be shifted, merged or kept in abeyance. Then email or call the Regional Centre and keep a copy of the reply.

Does this IGNOU Study Centre Finder show my allotted centre?

No. The finder is a directory of publicly listed centre details. It does not access IGNOU records, so it cannot show the centre allotted to your enrolment number. Your allotment depends on IGNOU's admission and enrolment records.
