What You Will Find in the Assignment Resources Directory
This directory brings university assignments and school board work into one place. Each category will open into a hub for a single institution, so you can look for question papers, writing formats, submission steps and status updates without scrolling through unrelated posts. Some hubs are still being built, and those are marked clearly as coming soon.
Assignments, TMAs, internal assessment, projects and practicals
An assignment is written work set by your institution, usually based on questions or topics from your course. IGNOU and DU SOL use assignments as part of assessment for many programmes. A TMA, or tutor-marked assignment, is the term NIOS uses for its own assignment component, and it follows NIOS rules rather than a general format.
Internal assessment is a wider label. Depending on the institution, it can include assignments, class tests, attendance-based marks or other work that counts towards your final result. Projects are longer pieces of work involving research, a report or a presentation. Practicals are lab, field or hands-on tasks, usually recorded in a file or journal. Treat each one as a separate requirement with its own instructions.
Match your programme, course code and session
Questions change from one academic session to the next, and they differ by programme and course code. Using last year’s question paper, or questions meant for another programme, is a common reason students have to redo their work. Before you start writing, check your programme name, course code, session and the last submission date given by your institution.
Official instructions come first
OpenStudyInfo is independent. The guides here explain how things generally work, but your university or board decides the final questions, dates, formats and submission method. If a guide and an official notice ever disagree, follow the official notice.
Why copied assignments are a bad idea
Copied or purchased answers can be flagged as plagiarism, and identical submissions may be rejected or marked down. More importantly, assignments exist to prepare you for exams and assessment. Use guides to understand a question, plan your structure and check your format, then write the answer in your own words. OpenStudyInfo does not offer solved or paid assignments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find assignment resources for my university?
Use the Choose Your Institution section on this page and open the category that matches your university or board. Categories marked coming soon do not have a published page yet, but they will be added over time.
Does OpenStudyInfo provide solved assignments?
No. OpenStudyInfo shares guidance on question papers, formats, structure and submission updates. It does not provide solved, copied or paid assignments, and students are encouraged to write their own answers.
What is the difference between an assignment and a TMA?
An assignment is a general term for written work set by an institution. A TMA, or tutor-marked assignment, is the specific term NIOS uses for assignments that are checked and marked by a tutor as part of its assessment process.
How can I confirm the correct academic session?
Check the session mentioned in your admission or re-registration record, your programme guide and the latest notices from your institution. Assignment questions are usually tied to a specific session and course code, so confirm both before you begin.
Will more universities and boards be added?
Yes. The categories marked coming soon show the institutions this assignment resources directory is planned to cover, and each one will open once its dedicated page is published.
