What is the NIOS academic public-exam fee per subject?

The 2026 notification used ₹300 per selected academic subject, with an additional ₹150 for each subject having a practical component. Recheck the latest official notification before paying.

How does the calculator count a practical subject?

Every selected academic subject is first charged at the base rate. If that subject also has a practical component, the calculator adds ₹150 for it. The practical-subject count cannot exceed the total selected subjects.

What is the NIOS vocational examination fee?

The October–November 2026 vocational schedule used ₹400 per selected subject or module, inclusive of theory, practical and internal assessment where applicable. The portal also listed a ₹70 transaction charge.

How are NIOS late fees calculated?

The relevant notification may provide a ₹150 late fee for every selected subject/module and a later final window with a consolidated ₹1,600 fee per learner. Select only the window that applies to your examination route and payment date.

Does this calculator cover NIOS On-Demand Examination fees?

No. On-Demand Examination and Stream 3/4 fee rules are different. This version covers academic public examinations and the separate vocational examination schedule only.

Can I pay the calculated amount on OpenStudyInfo?
