Latest DU Exam Schedule: What Has Been Verified?

The table below records the position checked on 25 September 2026. A programme-specific notice takes priority over a general summary.

Use the DU Examination Branch for official notices. The absence of a PG course from a UG page does not prove that no PG timetable exists elsewhere.

Regular DU, SOL/CDOE and NCWEB: Choose Your Own Category

Your degree name alone is not enough to select a timetable. Two students can both study B.Com while following different schemes or student categories. Start with your own admission record and registered papers.

The official SOL website currently identifies the unit as the Centre for Distance and Online Education, with the earlier School of Open Learning name shown alongside it. You may therefore see both CDOE and SOL in university material. Use the official page to confirm the service you need.

For a regular college student, the college examination office is the practical starting point for a timetable query. SOL learners should use the relevant SOL examination support route; NCWEB learners should contact their teaching centre or the Board. Keep your programme, semester and paper codes ready when asking for help.

Do not copy a friend’s timetable without checking it. Compare the scheme, semester, student category and every registered elective first. A shared course title does not establish that all your papers are identical.

Our DU SOL updates section brings together related student guides. For an examination date, always return to the university’s current notice.

Which Programme or Scheme Should You Open?

The official index separates NEP-UGCF-2022, CBCS-LOCF and CBCS-LOCF-SOL entries. It also includes separate paper categories such as GE, AEC, SEC and VAC. Match the wording on your records; do not choose a framework simply because its name looks newer.

B.A. Programme and B.Com Honours students in SOL

The B.A. Programme SOL PDF identifies NEP-UGCF-2022 and Semesters I, III, V and VII on its cover. There is also a separate B.Com Honours SOL PDF. Use these only when the programme and scheme match your registration.

For example, a Semester III student should locate Semester III rows within the correct document rather than assume the first date on its cover is their first examination. A combined PDF may start with another semester’s papers.

Electives and common papers

The university also provides a Generic Elective timetable. When checking an elective, use its full paper code and the applicable instructions. Finding your main discipline papers does not finish the job if your exam form includes additional categories.

Students with an older scheme or a repeat paper should ask the examination office which current entry applies if the mapping is unclear. Do not replace an old paper code with a similar new one yourself.

How to Download DU Datesheet 2026

  1. Keep your examination record beside you. Note your programme, semester, scheme and registered paper codes before opening the timetable.
  2. Open the official index. Use the button at the beginning of this article and confirm the session shown on the page.
  3. Search for your course. A short programme name can help you locate an entry; then inspect the full label and student category.
  4. Open the relevant document. Read its heading and session before looking for dates. An old file saved on your phone can have a very similar name.
  5. Search by paper code. On a phone, use the PDF viewer’s search option. On a computer, use Find. Read the surrounding rows and instructions too.
  6. Check the entire set of registered papers. Include electives and any approved repeat papers. Investigate a missing entry rather than leaving it out of your plan.
  7. Save a dated copy. Add the programme, session and download date to the filename. Bookmark the source page for later checks.

If searching a code gives no result, try the paper title and inspect the relevant pages manually. PDF text can contain spacing or extraction errors. A failed search does not, on its own, mean the paper is absent.

Read Each Paper’s Date and Shift Carefully

Make a personal checklist from the official timetable. Use one row per registered paper so that you can see any gap, clash or missing detail immediately.

One useful example appears in the checked B.A. Programme SOL document: some GE entries are listed in both morning and evening sections. If your code appears more than once, do not choose whichever shift suits you. Check the applicable instructions and obtain clarification from your examination office if needed.

Keep exam start time and reporting time separate in your notes. If reporting instructions are missing, check the admit card or ask the institution; do not invent a reporting rule from another programme’s notice.

Exam Form, Timetable and Admit Card Are Separate

Finding your paper in a timetable does not submit your examination form or confirm your individual eligibility. Check all three records: the submitted form, the applicable schedule and your admit card when available.

The Examination Branch’s notice listed on 1 September 2026 gives 30 September 2026 at 11:55 p.m. as the examination-form deadline for the covered UG/PG December–January session. Read its scope and check for a later applicable notice before acting.

For SOL, follow the examination-form link assigned to your admission batch on the official SOL homepage. It currently displays different routes for earlier admissions and students admitted from 2025 onward. Do not assume that every student should use the same Samarth login.

After submitting, keep the acknowledgement and fee receipt together. If payment is deducted but the form remains incomplete, use the official support route with your transaction reference. A bank debit by itself does not show that the university accepted every selected paper.

Missing Paper, Broken PDF or Conflicting Timings

Your course or paper is missing

First recheck the session, scheme and category. Then compare your registered paper list with the relevant discipline and elective documents. If the entry is still missing, contact your college, SOL examination office or NCWEB centre with the code and a copy of your record.

Do not assume that a missing paper has been cancelled or that a new PDF will appear within a particular number of days. Ask for the applicable instruction and keep the reply for reference.

The PDF will not open

Return to the official index and open the link again. Try downloading it to a PDF reader or using another browser. If a link opens the wrong programme, report that mismatch and avoid using the incorrect file just because it came from the right website.

Two papers appear to clash

Check the full dates, shifts, codes and any correction notice first. If the conflict remains, send the examination office the two entries and your registered paper details promptly. Do not decide to skip a paper or attend another shift without written guidance.

A useful message is: “I am registered in [programme and semester]. Paper codes [A] and [B] appear at the same time in [document name]. Please confirm the applicable schedule.” Attach the relevant pages and your registration evidence.

Turn the Timetable into a Realistic Revision Plan

Start with papers that have short gaps between them. Prepare those subjects before the exam period so you are not trying to learn two difficult units overnight. Leave time for timed practice and revision of mistakes.

Once you have confirmed the codes, use our DU SOL previous-year question paper guide to find relevant practice material. Match older papers with your current syllabus; use them to practise answer structure and timing without assuming questions will repeat.

Our one-month DU SOL study plan can help you organise the remaining weeks. Adjust it around your own paper sequence, work hours and weaker subjects.

  • Write the exam date and confirmed shift beside each paper code.
  • Reserve time for practicals or assessments notified separately.
  • Recheck university updates before finalising travel arrangements.
  • Keep your admit card and required identity documents ready.

A Practical Note from the Author

My advice is to build your plan from your own registered papers, then use the timetable to organise your revision. A screenshot in a group can be useful as an alert, but I would always open the university link before adding a date to my calendar.

I would also keep one small folder containing the exam-form acknowledgement, timetable and later corrections. That makes it easier to explain a missing-paper or shift query without searching through old messages. If an entry is unclear, ask the examination office early and save its response.

You do not need to keep refreshing the page all day. Set aside a regular time to check updates and spend the rest on preparation. A tentative schedule gives you something to plan around; leave enough flexibility to adjust when an official revision arrives.

Keep the Exam Session Clear

An academic calendar gives the broader teaching and examination periods. Your paper-wise timetable tells you when a specific examination is scheduled. A centre-allotment document answers another question: where you must report. When checking DU Datesheet 2026, keep those documents labelled separately so that a general examination window is not mistaken for your first paper’s date.

Likewise, do not assume your usual teaching centre is your examination venue. Confirm the assigned location from the applicable examination documents and check the route before travelling. If practical or project instructions arrive separately, add those dates to the same personal checklist.

This article focuses on the upcoming December 2026–January 2027 timetable. A document for May–June 2026 belongs to an earlier examination cycle, even though both appear in searches containing “2026”. Read the session inside the PDF.

If you are checking marks from the earlier cycle, use our DU SOL result and marksheet guide for that separate task. The student resources hub also helps you find related guides without mixing admission, examination and result services.

Before closing the page: Confirm your scheme, account for every registered paper, check the form deadline and save the official source. Those checks matter more than downloading the first timetable that appears in search.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is DU Datesheet 2026 for December–January final?

The UG timetable page checked on 25 September 2026 is marked tentative. Use it for planning and check the official page for later revisions before relying on a saved date.

Where should I download my DU SOL timetable?

Open the official DU Examination Branch timetable index. Select the correct scheme and an entry covering SOL students, then match your programme, semester and registered paper codes inside the PDF.

Do regular, SOL and NCWEB students use the same PDF?

Some entries cover more than one student category, while others are separate. Follow the category and programme stated in the applicable document rather than assuming one timetable covers everyone.

Does this UG page confirm the PG examination schedule?

No. A postgraduate student should find the notice for their own programme. A missing PG entry on an undergraduate index does not establish that the timetable is unavailable elsewhere.

What should I do if my paper code is missing?

Recheck the scheme, semester and any separate elective timetable. If the paper is still missing, contact the relevant examination office with your registered paper details and the document you checked.

What if my paper appears in two different shifts?

Check the instructions and any correction notice. If you cannot establish which entry applies to you, ask the examination office for clarification. Do not choose a shift on your own.

Can I wait for the final timetable before submitting my exam form?

Do not assume the form deadline will wait for the final timetable. The checked notice gives 30 September 2026 at 11:55 p.m. for the covered session; verify any later notice and your applicable submission route.

Is the datesheet also my admit card?

No. The datesheet lists the examination schedule. Your admit card and applicable instructions provide individual examination details. Check both and complete any required examination-form process separately.
