DU SOL Fees Structure 2026-27: Course-Wise Tables

All amounts below are in rupees for Category A (UR/OBC/SC/ST, Indian nationals residing in India). “Annual” means the published fee for the 2026–27 academic year; it does not mean a one-time fee for your entire course. The tables show the programme-fee total, including the exam-fee component listed by SOL, rather than just the tuition component.

Which Fee Applies to You?

Before you make a payment, match four details: the exact programme name, the 2026–27 session, your fee category and whether the amount is annual or one-time. Two students applying to “DU SOL” can see very different bills if one selects B.Com and the other selects B.Com (Hons.). Your own payment screen is the final check, because it applies your selected programme and category.

Example: A Category A student entering B.Com sees ₹12,070 in the UG prospectus; a B.Com (Hons.) student sees ₹12,570. That ₹500 difference is between two programmes, not an optional charge to add to B.Com. Similarly, BMS and BBA (FIA) each carry ₹23,570 for the first year, not ₹23,570 for the complete degree.

Category A covers Indian nationals residing in India under UR/OBC/SC/ST. Separate tables and rules apply to PwBD, overseas applicants and other concession groups. If you qualify, select the correct category and read its own fee table; do not apply the Category A price to everyone.

UG Fees Explained: BA, B.Com, BMS and BBA

BA Programme and B.Com are ₹12,070 each. The listed Honours routes—BA (Hons.) English, Political Science or Economics, and B.Com (Hons.)—are ₹12,570. Similar names make screenshots easy to misread: match the entire course title, not just “BA” or “B.Com”.

BA Programme with Computer Applications is ₹15,570. Its published table includes a practical component, so a higher total than an ordinary BA Programme is expected. BMS and BBA (FIA) are ₹23,570 each for Category A. You may see a ₹21,120 figure on older pages; it does not match the 2026–27 total in SOL’s current UG prospectus. Use the prospectus and your portal, especially if another site has copied a previous session’s price.

PG, MBA and Library Science: Why the Prices Differ

Among the standard two-year PG routes covered by the published first-year tables, MA Political Science, History and Sanskrit are ₹12,820 each. MA Hindi and M.Com are ₹13,120 each. That is a ₹300 difference between groups, not a registration charge. The exam-fee component differs in the prospectus, so avoid taking a low “tuition only” number from a search snippet as your final payable amount.

The regular MBA and the separate MBA (Executive) Healthcare Administration prospectus each list ₹57,920 as the Category A annual programme fee. They are not interchangeable courses simply because their current published totals match: admission conditions and programme details have to be checked separately. Library Science students: BLISc ₹13,770; MLISc ₹14,770; PGDADLM ₹17,870. Each has its own one-year programme fee table. Do not transfer a two-year MA/M.Com first-year figure to a one-year route without checking the live portal. What Does the Published Fee Include?

SOL’s fee tables break the total into several heads: tuition, student-welfare funds, development funds, facilities and services, an economically weaker section support fund and an examination-fee line. Different courses have different amounts under those heads. The tables at the top of this page give you the published total; you do not need to add the listed standard examination fee again just because it appears as a separate row inside the prospectus breakdown.

Future back-paper, improvement or revaluation charges, if applicable, have separate rules. “Tuition fee” is just one line, not the whole bill: MBA tuition is ₹10,000 within the ₹57,920 annual total. Budgeting ₹10,000 alone would miss most of it.

Study material arrangements can vary by programme and portal selection. Check whether printed material is included, optional or adjusted before making any assumptions about an apparent difference on the payment screen. Registration Fee vs Programme Fee

A registration or application fee, where the admission route asks for one, is a separate step from paying the course fee after you are eligible for admission. Completing a registration payment alone does not mean your annual programme fee is settled. Equally, an “annual fee” in the tables above should not automatically have a generic ₹500 added to it—first see what the relevant SOL portal actually requests.

The official PG prospectus gives two different registration-fee pairs in separate sections: ₹300/₹150 and ₹250/₹100 (general-group versus SC/ST/PwBD). Confirm the live portal amount instead of choosing one. MBA Healthcare has its own application amount; other applicants should also follow their own route, not a generic figure.

How to Pay DU SOL Fees Without Making a Mistake

1. Start from sol.du.ac.in and open the admission route for your UG, PG, MBA or Library Science programme. Do not follow a payment link forwarded by an unknown account.
2. Log in with your own registration details. Check your name, course, admission year and fee category before the payment stage.
3. Compare the amount displayed with the applicable official 2026–27 prospectus. If it differs, look for a concession, optional item or separate registration step before proceeding.
4. Pay through the official portal gateway, wait for the confirmation screen and save your receipt or acknowledgement. Keep a copy of the transaction or order ID as well.

If your bank shows a debit but the SOL page does not show a receipt, do not instantly pay twice. First revisit payment status in the same dashboard, allow time for processing and save evidence of the debit. If it remains unresolved, use the portal’s current payment-help route and provide your transaction ID. Avoid sharing passwords, OTPs or a complete card number with anybody who offers to “fix” the transaction.

Concessions and Fee Refunds: Check Before You Pay

If you qualify for PwBD, orphan, transgender or another concession, read your programme-specific table and upload the required proof during admission. An undergraduate concession amount should not be used to calculate an MBA bill.

For refunds, the UG prospectus says withdrawal within the notified last admission date can be considered under prevailing UGC/DU/SOL rules, mentioning a ₹500 administrative deduction or the applicable prevailing guideline. That wording is not a promise that every later cancellation will be refunded at the same rate. Check the latest official refund notice and deadline before submitting a withdrawal request; keep the fee receipt and bank details ready. Ask SOL directly if two published rules appear to conflict.

My Take: The One Check Worth Doing Before Every Payment

After checking the five separate 2026–27 prospectuses for this guide, the biggest problem I found was not a lack of fee numbers. It was that a number can look correct while belonging to a different course, category or academic year. BMS/BBA (FIA) is a good example: the current UG prospectus says ₹23,570 annually, while older figures still circulate online. A student might budget less and only discover the shortfall at checkout.

Open the prospectus and payment page side by side. Match the total for your course and category to the portal amount; if they differ, pause and find out why. Save the PDF and your receipt in case you need support later.
