DU SOL books dispatch 2026–27 should be understood separately from the general availability of study material. DU SOL/COL provides SLM support, but a programme-wise distribution notice or a personal parcel update is the evidence that applies to your own books.
This guide explains what is officially confirmed, how to check the correct notice, what the COL SLM Dispatch page actually does, and what to do if your books are not received.
Last verified: 18 October 2026. OpenStudyInfo is an independent educational-information website and is not affiliated with the University of Delhi, CDOE/SOL or COL.
Current DU SOL Books Dispatch Status for 2026–27
The most useful way to understand the present situation is to separate three different things: availability of study material, publication of a distribution notice, and delivery of one student’s parcel. They are not the same.
| Question | What we found | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Is SLM part of DU SOL’s student support? | Yes. Official SOL prospectuses describe Self-Learning Material for enrolled students, and the official website hosts soft copies. | You should use the prescribed SLM for your programme and semester. |
| Has every 2026–27 student’s printed set been dispatched? | No universal confirmation was found on the official homepage, COL notice area or SLM Dispatch page at the time of verification. | Do not treat another student’s delivery as proof that your own set has been sent. |
| Is there an official roll-number tracking box? | The official COL “SLM Dispatch” information page does not currently display a roll-number search, consignment number or delivery status. | Use official notices, your registered contact details and COL-GRAM—not random tracking websites. |
| Can students study now? | Yes. Official digital SLM links are live for multiple programme groups. | Do not pause your preparation while waiting for printed material. |
Is the COL “SLM Dispatch” Page a Tracking Portal?
No—not in its current form. The official page explains that SLM is developed by the Open Learning Development Centre to help distance learners study at their own pace. When checked, the page did not contain a dispatch list, search form, roll-number field, courier name or tracking number.
This is why a student can open the correct official page and still not see a personal delivery status. The page is genuine, but calling it a live parcel tracker would be misleading.
How to Check Whether Your DU SOL Books Were Dispatched
There is no verified one-click tracker for every student, so use this order. It saves time and prevents you from entering personal details on an unofficial website.
- Check your programme and semester first. A notice for MBA, M.Com or another semester may not apply to your BA or B.Com batch.
- Read the official notice board. Search the titles for “SLM”, “study material” or “distribution”. Note the notice date and the exact programme/semester mentioned.
- Check your registered mobile and email. Use only a message that clearly identifies SOL/CDOE and does not ask for payment, OTP or banking details.
- Check the student dashboard. Students admitted from 2025 onwards can also review updates in Medha Setu. If you are unsure which login is genuine, use our Official Student Portal Finder.
- Use COL-GRAM for your own case. If an applicable distribution notice exists, or a parcel status says delivered/returned, raise one properly documented grievance.
Physical SLM may be sent by post or distributed through a designated or regional centre, depending on the programme and official instructions. Do not travel to a centre just because an old video mentions it. First confirm the location, dates and eligible batch in a current official notice.
DU SOL Books Not Received: Choose Your Situation
1. No dispatch notice and no message
Start with digital SLM and check the notice board periodically. If SOL has not announced distribution for your programme or semester, another student’s parcel is not enough evidence that yours is missing.
2. Your programme has an official distribution notice
Read the complete notice, not only its headline. Check the programme, semester, admission year, centre, date and documents required. If your batch is included but you have received neither books nor instructions, submit a COL-GRAM query.
3. Tracking says “delivered”, but you received nothing
First ask family members, neighbours, hostel reception or the building guard. Then contact the carrier through its official website or local office and ask where the parcel was delivered. Save a screenshot of the status before it changes. If the carrier cannot resolve it, attach that screenshot to your COL-GRAM grievance.
4. The parcel was returned or the address is wrong
Compare your address and PIN code with your admission record, fee receipt, ID card or dashboard—whichever displays it. We did not find a clearly published self-service address-change facility for this purpose. Submit the correct address and supporting proof through COL-GRAM, and ask SOL to confirm the next step. Do not pay an agent to “unlock” or “correct” your record.
Start Studying with Official Digital SLM
Printed books are convenient, but waiting for them should not delay your semester. The official COL study-material page currently groups material under UG, PG, MBA and Library programmes.
- Open the official study-material page.
- Select the correct programme group.
- Choose your programme, semester and paper carefully.
- Match the paper title/code with your current syllabus before studying.
If you need a screenshot-style walkthrough, read our DU SOL study material download guide. The official viewer or file behaviour can vary, so use the available read/download option shown on the official page.
SLM and Book Bank are different
SLM is course-specific self-learning material. The Book Bank is a separate library support facility with its own eligibility and return rules. Do not assume that applying for Book Bank will create or speed up an SLM parcel. If you need extra reference books, see our DU SOL Book Bank Scheme guide.
How to Raise a COL-GRAM Grievance
COL-GRAM is the official grievance portal linked from the SOL website. It accepts academic and administrative queries, gives a tracking ID after submission and states that a response may take 3–5 working days.
Keep these details ready
- Student name and SOL roll/control number
- Programme, admission session and semester
- Registered mobile number and email
- Full registered address with PIN code
- Applicable distribution notice or tracking screenshot, if available
- A short, specific explanation of the problem
Copy-and-edit grievance format
I am enrolled in [programme], Semester [number], for the 2026–27 session. I have not received my printed Self-Learning Material.
SOL roll/control number: [number]
Registered address with PIN code: [address]
Tracking/consignment number, if any: [number]
Current tracking status, if any: [status]
Please confirm whether my SLM has been dispatched and advise the correct next step. I have attached the relevant notice/tracking screenshot, if applicable.
Submit one complete grievance and save its tracking ID. Multiple duplicate complaints do not guarantee a faster reply.
Parcel Tracking and Fraud Safety
No current official source checked by us named one delivery partner for every 2026–27 student. Therefore, do not assume that a random “India Post”, courier or WhatsApp message is connected to DU SOL.
| Tracking message | Usual meaning | Safe action |
|---|---|---|
| Booked / accepted | The carrier has received a parcel. | Save the consignment number and use the carrier’s official tracking page. |
| In transit | The parcel is moving through sorting locations. | Wait for the next scan; avoid raising a grievance after every movement. |
| Out for delivery | Delivery may be attempted that day. | Keep the registered phone active and alert people at the address. |
| Delivered | The system records a completed delivery. | Check with household/guard, then ask the official carrier office for delivery details. |
| Returned / addressee not found | The parcel may be going back after failed delivery. | Verify your address and raise a documented COL-GRAM query. |
| Pay to update address | Potential phishing or payment scam. | Do not click or pay; verify separately through official channels. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Have DU SOL books been dispatched for 2026–27?
We did not find one official notice confirming dispatch to every 2026–27 student as of 18 October 2026. Programme- or semester-specific distribution may happen separately, so check the official notice board for your exact batch.
Where can I check the DU SOL book dispatch list 2026?
Check the SOL/CDOE homepage and COL official notice area for a programme-wise SLM or study-material notice. The current COL SLM Dispatch information page does not itself show a searchable roll-number list.
Is there an official DU SOL books tracking portal?
We could not verify a universal personal tracking portal for 2026–27. If you receive a genuine consignment number, track it only on the named carrier’s official website. For a personal SOL query, use COL-GRAM.
Tracking shows delivered, but I did not get the books. What should I do?
Ask household members, neighbours, reception or the guard first. Then contact the official carrier with the consignment number. If it remains unresolved, submit a COL-GRAM grievance with a screenshot of the delivered status.
Do I have to pay for DU SOL book delivery?
Do not pay money through an SMS, WhatsApp message or unknown link. We found no current official delivery notice asking students to pay a parcel-release or redelivery fee. If you receive such a demand, verify it with the SOL helpdesk.
Can I study without printed DU SOL books?
Yes. Official digital SLM is available online for programme groups including UG, PG, MBA and Library programmes. Match the material with your paper title/code and begin your preparation immediately.
How do I change my address for DU SOL books?
We did not find a clearly published self-service option specifically for book delivery. Check the address in your student records and raise a COL-GRAM query with the correct address and supporting proof. Ask for confirmation before assuming the record has changed.
Do Semester 1 and Semester 2 books come together?
Do not assume they will. Distribution can depend on the programme, semester and current official notice. Follow the exact notice for your admission year and course.
