IGNOU Target Marks Calculator
Find the TEE marks you need to reach a chosen overall course percentage using your assignment score and applicable evaluation weightage.
Required TEE Marks
Calculated from your assignment score and selected weightage.
Important: Reaching the combined target does not replace separate passing requirements for TEE, assignments, practicals, projects or other components.
How to Use This Calculator
- Select the evaluation weightage mentioned in your programme guide.
- Enter your assignment marks and the desired overall percentage.
- Enter the maximum TEE marks and an optional minimum TEE percentage.
- Select “Calculate Required Marks” to see the safe whole-mark target.
Why the Result Is Rounded Up
A calculation may produce a decimal such as 58.57 marks. Since examination marks are normally recorded as whole numbers, the tool shows 59 as the safer target. Scoring below the exact requirement may leave the combined percentage short of your goal.
Target Marks Calculation Example
Suppose your assignment score is 80 out of 100, the evaluation pattern is 30:70 and your target overall percentage is 65%.

IGNOU Target Marks Calculator FAQs
Understand the estimate before using it for examination planning.
It estimates the TEE percentage and safe whole marks required to reach your chosen combined course percentage after applying assignment and TEE weightage.
No. It is common, but evaluation schemes can vary by programme and course. Select 25:75 or Custom when your current programme guide specifies another pattern.
Some programmes require students to clear a component separately. If your programme guide specifies a minimum TEE percentage, enter it so the suggested safe marks do not fall below that requirement.
The result will show that the target requires more than 100% in the TEE. You can then choose a realistic target or review whether the entered weightage and assignment marks are correct.
No. This is a planning estimate only. Final pass status depends on the official IGNOU result, programme rules and any separate requirements for assignments, TEE, practicals, projects or other components.
