Before paying for IGNOU revaluation June 2026, check whether the issue is your theory score, a missing result, or an assignment entry. These are different problems, and submitting the wrong request can cost both time and money.

IGNOU Revaluation Fees 2026: Quick Facts

The fees are stated in IGNOU’s official prospectus, sections 4.16–4.17. Review the course codes, requested services and final amount shown on the payment screen before proceeding. For example, revaluation alone for two eligible courses costs ₹1,500 in service fees.

Charges are per course, not a flat payment for your entire result. Follow the portal’s request-building process rather than assuming every course needs a completely separate login or form. Keep a record of exactly which courses your payment covers.

IGNOU Revaluation June 2026 Last Date: The 40-Day Rule

There is no single common last date for every June 2026 student. The relevant starting point is declaration of your result, not the date you happened to check it, the date you read this article, or the day the overall exam session ended.

The notification dated 6 April 2023 revised the revaluation period from 30 to 40 days, and the answer-script photocopy period from 45 to 30 days. It applies from the June 2023 TEE onwards. The current application portal links to this official deadline notification.

This explains why older guides can show conflicting numbers. A previous “45 days for a photocopy” instruction should not be used to extend the current 30-day window. Equally, avoid treating a vaguely worded “within a month” summary as the revised revaluation rule.

How to keep track of your own window

1. Check that the relevant course result is published and save a dated copy or screenshot.
2. Confirm the result-declaration date applicable to that course. A general website update date should not automatically be treated as your individual declaration date.
3. Check the official application instructions and any deadline or eligibility message displayed for your request.
4. If the date is unclear or the portal refuses a request you believe is within time, contact the concerned evaluation office promptly with your evidence.

Which IGNOU Papers Are Eligible for Revaluation?

This facility is for eligible written TEE answer scripts. It does not cover assignments, projects, dissertations, practical examinations, lab courses, workshops or seminars. A missing assignment entry is therefore not something to fix by purchasing theory revaluation.

The official portal also excludes specified MCQ examinations conducted on OMR sheets from both revaluation and answer-script copy. Check your exact course against the current exclusion list before applying; a general programme label such as BA or B.Com is not enough to establish eligibility.

How to Apply for IGNOU Revaluation Online

Keep your enrolment number, programme and course codes, exam-session details, IGNOU ID card, email address, mobile number and original result ready. Use an email account you can access regularly, particularly if you are also requesting an answer-script copy.

1. Open the official application page. Use the portal button at the beginning of this guide and read the current instructions and declaration.
2. Enter the required learner details. Choose the correct session and provide the information requested on the login/application screen.
3. Complete your contact and examination details. IGNOU’s illustrated guide includes email, mobile number and examination-centre code.
4. Select the course and service. Choose revaluation, answer-script copy, or both as required, then use Add Request. Check every added course carefully.
5. Upload your IGNOU ID card as instructed. The official illustrated guide includes an ID-card upload step. Follow the live field’s file-format and size requirements.
6. Save the completed request. This generates the payment link. Review the selected services and fee before paying.
7. Complete payment through an available official option. The public instructions list debit/credit cards and net banking. Use another option only if the official payment screen offers it.
8. Save the acknowledgement and receipt. Keep the application reference, course details and transaction record together. Confirm that the request shows the appropriate submission/payment status.

How to Request an IGNOU Answer-Sheet Copy

An answer-script copy lets you inspect the evaluated paper. It can help you understand where marks were awarded and identify a possible unmarked answer or arithmetic discrepancy. Receiving a copy does not itself revalue the paper or automatically change the recorded result.

Select the copy service for the correct course through the same official portal and follow the upload and payment steps. The published charge is ₹100 per course. IGNOU states that a scanned copy may be sent to the supplied email address or a photocopy may be sent by post.

Should you request the copy first or both together?

The portal expressly allows a copy request before revaluation or together with it. If you apply for revaluation first and ask for the copy later, the concerned Regional Evaluation Centre can provide the copy only if the script has not already been processed for revaluation.

After receiving the script, make a clear note of any specific concern: the question number, awarded marks, total or missing evaluation. If you identify an administrative or totalling discrepancy, ask the relevant evaluation office which correction procedure applies. Do not assume every type of error requires the same request.

Will IGNOU Revaluation Increase My Marks?

An increase is possible, but it is not guaranteed. This guide does not quote a success percentage because no reliable official figure was verified for the June 2026 cycle. Decisions should be based on your circumstances and the published rules, not a promised pass rate.

The better-score rule is important here. As an illustration, if your original score were 38 and reassessment produced 44, the better score would be 44. If reassessment instead produced 35, the original 38 would be the better score. These are examples explaining the rule, not predictions of your result.

How to Check the IGNOU Revaluation Result

1. Open IGNOU’s official Results page.
2. Follow the Term End Exam/Re-evaluation Results link and select the relevant session when listed.
3. Enter the requested learner details and check the specific course.
4. Save the result and compare it with the Grade Card through the official Results page.

Do not assume that all applications will have an outcome on one common day. No verified universal “first week of September” release date is established here. Processing and record updates can vary; an application receipt and a published revaluation result are different records.

If the result is published but the Grade Card does not reflect the applicable score, retain both records and raise a clear query with the concerned evaluation office. Include your enrolment number, programme, course code, session, application reference and relevant screenshots.

Revaluation, Reappear or a Status Query: What Should You Do?

• A published theory mark seems unexpectedly low: review your eligibility, evidence and deadline before deciding on revaluation or a copy request.
• A theory result is missing: investigate the result status first. Missing data is not the same as an evaluated low score.
• An assignment or practical entry is missing: contact the appropriate centre or office for that component.

Do not assume a pending request automatically protects you from the next examination-form deadline. Also, do not reappear in an already qualified course simply to improve marks without checking the applicable improvement rules.

Payment deducted but no clear confirmation?

First review the application status and keep the bank transaction reference. Avoid repeated payments while the status is unresolved. Send the relevant office or portal support a concise description with the course, service, payment date and evidence. Do not assume a refund is automatic or impossible; ask which rule applies to your transaction.
